  • Introduction: Role of Volunteer Coordinator

  • Section 1: The role of the Volunteer Coordinator (VC)

By the end of Section 1, you should be able to recognise the role of the VC and identify the differences between approaches taken in different sports.

  • Section 2: Motivating your Volunteers

Section 2 looks at how the VC can maintain a high level of motivation among their volunteers.

  • Section 3: Recruiting new Volunteers

All clubs need more volunteers either to take on new roles or to split the role of a current volunteer. Section 3 examines the role of the VC in recruiting new volunteers to the club.

Section 5 will help you to understand how valuing your volunteers is a critical part of the role of the VC. It also examines different approaches to recognising and rewarding the commitment volunteers make to your club.

  • Section 6: Making connections...

By the end of Section 6, you should be able to source further information, advice and support on matters relating to volunteering and volunteer management, and, in particular, advice on child protection policies and guidelines.

  • Section 7: Action plan for Volunteer Coordinator

Throughout Sections 1 - 6 of this course, you will identify a number of 'Action Points' that could be taken to improve the recruitment, retention, recognition and rewarding of volunteers within your club.
